Women’s Health Q & A

What is meant by the term “women’s health?”

As a woman, your body goes through a range of shifts and changes as you move through the phases of life. Pregnancy and childbirth can take a toll, but even women who don’t choose motherhood will notice changes related to normal hormonal shifts.

Women’s health usually refers to changes brought on by hormonal imbalances. These natural shifts occur during puberty, pregnancy, menopause, and as a result of certain gynecologic conditions.

Women also encounter certain health conditions at high rates. These include osteoarthritis, stroke, and Alzheimer’s disease. Your RegenMed Health Centers practitioner can help you embark on lifestyle modifications to reduce your risk of these and many other health problems.

What are some common women’s health concerns?

Some of the more common women’s health conditions that prompt women to reach out for care include:

  • Reduced sex drive
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Pain during sex
  • Weight gain
  • Headaches
  • Hot flashes
  • Night sweats

If you notice these changes, call RegenMed Health Centers to schedule a consultation.

What kinds of treatments can help relieve women’s health issues?

RegenMed Health Centers offers genetic testing to see if you are predisposed to any health conditions, such as the one's listed above. All we would do is collect a DNA sample from a cheek swab, send it to the lab and within 4-6 weeks you will receive your results.

The Women's Health DNA test will not only tell you what you are genetically predisposed to, but it will also provide recommended treatment plans based on your results, such as supplementation and lifestyle changes.
